Chevrolet Sonic - Top Safety Marks from NHTSA

Just a few months ago, the 2012 Chevy Camaro earned the first-ever perfect score on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recently revised crash tests. Turns out it was only the beginning for Chevy, as one of the smallest cars in their lineup also scored very well on the NHTSA crash tests.

That's right, the zippy little 2012 Chevrolet Sonic earned an 5-Star Overall Safety Rating. It's not only a new rating on the safety tests, its highly coveted, and parent company, GM, can claim 10 5-Star ratings for the 2012 model year.

What this really means, though, is that automakers are increasing their safety standards across the board, and that's something Ray Price Chevrolet is willing to celebrate, no matter who the automaker is. We're pretty psyched to see Chevy already raking in the honors for safety under these new standards. But, with a slew of safety amenities like a cabin full of airbags, rollover sensors, StabiliTrak electronic stability control, power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes, ABS, traction control and panic brake assist, it's really not a surprise.

Plus, Chevy is constantly improving their safety options across the entire lineup. Gay Kent, Executive Director of Vehicle Safety says, "We developed Sonic to exceed customer expectations of subcompacts in terms of segment-leading safety features...From the largest vehicles in our lineup to the smallest, we are putting overall crashworthiness and state-of-the-art safety technologies at the top of the list of must-haves."1

That's right, every single 2012 Chevrolet at Ray Price Chevrolet features award-winning safety and convenience features that will keep you safe no matter what kind of car you drive - be it a large pickup like the Silverado 1500, a midsize sedan like the Chevy Malibu, or even a hatchback like the Sonic. Stop in and see them for yourself in Mt. Pocono, and a member of our team will be happy to provide you with more information, including model specs, pricing and safety information.
