With drastically increasing fuel prices giving consumers gas pump anxiety, the demand for increased fuel efficiency is stronger than ever. For many manufacturers, the answer to the call comes in the form of hybrids and electrics. While Chevy certainly has its fair share of EV mobility (i.e. the Chevrolet Volt), the auto manufacturer also understands that some customers just aren't ready to make the switch to hybrid life.

Enter: the 2013 Chevy Malibu…

So, if a mile is 5,280 feet, how long would you say a "Seth mile" is? Well, 5,280 feet, obviously. Except, it's not the same as a regular mile. When Seth Valentine racked up 14,000 miles on the Chevy Sonic during one six-week test period, they were the most grueling 14,000 miles it would ever experience. From sunny California to the arid desert of Arizona to the cold and rocky…

Chevy Volt - Updates for 2012

Because safety is such an important thing to be aware of when you're in the market for a new car, Ray Price Chevy is extremely thankful for organizations like the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), that put new vehicles through rigorous tests and rank their performance during crash and rollover scenarios. And while we hope that not many drivers ever need to use the safety…

Worried about Chevy Volt battery safety? You're not alone. Ray Price Chevrolet, however, is here, with a few pieces of information that will hopefully help put your mind at ease.

The Chevy Volt, known for its extremely high level of consumer satisfaction (the highest actually, according to a recent study by Consumer Reports), is under investigation by the NHTSA. The reason for the investigation is an extremely small percentage of fire outbreaks stemming from…

Underscored by the release of the Volt plug-in hybrid, Chevrolet has been keeping busy generating interest in EV technology.  Their dialogue around the zero-emissions system has been running since the beginning of the year. It's beenVolt wins this award. Volt breaks that record. That's all good and well. But, some enthusiasts are understandably starting to get tired of hearing the EV's name.  Chevy gets it.

To liven the conversation a bit…

Chevrolet and the Crowned Shield, sister companies 'parented' by GM, know how to share. As such, it's not surprising to learn Chevy will be loaning Cady the leading-edge technology fitted in the Volt. The reason the Crowned Shield has asked Chevy to borrow the Volt technology is another story. It has car enthusiasts, such as all of us at [Dealer], on the edges of our seats.

Remember the Converj coupe concept that debuted at…

Chevrolet deliberately planned a temporary production stoppage of the Volt this June, which means there will be limited availability of the EV until August. According to Chevy spokesperson Robert Peterson, there are now roughly 200 Volt models available nationwide.

Why would Chevy plan such a stoppage with only 200 models available in the U.S.? Simple: They're looking toward the future.

Chevy decided to hit the pause button on Volt production to make space…

Chevrolet Volt Production to Increase

The hybrid electric Chevrolet Volt, General Motor's first and best alternative fuel vehicle, is making such a huge dent in their sales numbers that an increase of production has been ordered by the American auto maker.

The company posted a 25% increase in sales so far in 2011. This is mostly due to the popularity of its all new Volt, redesigned Chevrolet Malibu and first-gen Chevrolet Cruze. In fact, the auto maker sold over…

The rechargeable electric Chevrolet Volt has been named North American Car of the Year. This vehicle beat out stiff competition from auto makers Hyundai and Nissan. 50 automotive journalists from around the country have chosen what they believe to be the top car in North America. In voting, Chevrolet was given 233 points, compared to 163 and 94 for the other two companies.

In the past, the North American Car of the Year is chosen…
