Best Wineries, Cideries, And Vineyards Near Stroudsburg PA

Now that the winter has passed and the weather’s warming up, what’s more refreshing than a cold beer, a crisp white wine, or a tangy cider? Check out some of our favorite stops for some house-crafted wines and brews in Stroudsburg.

Wineries: Radical Wine Company

Radical Wine Company gets its name from its "dare to be different" mentality. This urban winery reads like a craft brewery and crafts wines from grapes grown in premium regions around the world. They even offer free home delivery!

We recommend the Mayflower white wine. It's the one with a picture of Mayhem the German Shepherd on the bottle. This off-dry wine features floral notes and flavors of apricot and honeyed citrus. This is a Sip Wine, Support Animals wine, meaning that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to local animal shelters and rescues.

Visit them on Facebook for off-site tasting locations.

Cideries: Banter's Hard Cider

Banter's Hard Cider is a dream-come-true that was seven years in the making. CEO and founder "Uncle" Steve Brancato was bitten by the cider bug when he visited Ontario in 2009 and set to work perfecting his craft over the next few years.

They feature a tap room serving six of their ciders on draft, plus a cider-based cocktail menu. A must-try is the Canadian Vacation. This rich, dark, semi-sweet cider is made with maple syrup and cinnamon. Or, get a glass of their flagship blend, the cloudy and semi-sweet Overcast.

Check them out on Facebook for cider releases and find them every Sunday at the Monroe Farmer's Market!

Vineyards: Nimble Hill Winery & Brewery

Nimble Hill Winery & Brewery is one of the first combined winery-breweries in the sate of Pennsylvania. This family-run operation keeps it local, growing their grapes and hops on-site and using local materials and artwork for their packaging.

Stop by their tasting room to see what's on tap. If you're in the mood for a wine, we highly recommend the 2016 Dry Rose of Cabernet Franc. This dry rosé features notes of strawberries and a floral finish. For a beer, we love the Midnight Fuggle, a porter with flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, toffee, and caramel.

Follow their Facebook page for updates on local event they're attending.
